The vessel is used for cataphoretic metal vapour lasers, in which a position must be provided for ions recombination to the metal atoms migrating from the anode to the cathode inside the laser tube. This prevents uncontrolled migration of the metal vapour particles to the cathode and to the Brewster window. For this purpose a vessel is mounted between the capillary end and the Brewster window, on whose large surface, cold relative to the discharge capillary, the recombination takes place. The surface of the vessel is increased by multiple wall construction using restrictions etc.
