Substd. benzofuran and 4-benzoxepine derivs. - with antiinflammatory, analgesic and platelet aggregation inhibiting activity

Benzofuran and benzoxepine derivs. of formula (I) are new. In (I) R1 is 3-10C branched alkyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl or phenyl; R2 is H, CH3, F, Cl, Br or I; x-y is -CHR3-CH2-, -CR3=CH- or -CH2CH2CH2CH2-; and R3 is H or 1-4C alkyl; provided that (a) when R2 is H and x-y is -CH=CH-, then R1 is other than phenyl, and (b) when R2 is H and x-y is -CH(CH3)-CH2-, then R1 is other than 4-methyl-pentyl. (I) have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity, and can be used for inhibiting exudation in inflammation or oedema and for the treatment of pain. (I) are also blood platelet aggregation inhibitors and can be used e.g. for treating thrombosis.
