Air cooled IC engine with main and auxiliary blower - uses flywheel for main flow and concentric blades for flow to silencer

The air-cooled i.c. engine has main and auxiliary air blowers. The main blower cools the directly-heated components of the engine e.g. the cylinder or cylinder head. The auxiliary cooling air current ventilates the silencer. The main cooling air blower is generated from the flywheel. The auxiliary air supply is generated by separate blades (3) concentric to the flywheel. The air is conveyed along the shaft (9) of the flywheel to the input (2) of the silencer (1).
