The electron gun systems are mounted on both sides of the tube axis, and are inclined to it. A plate electrode deflection in two planes perpendicular to each other. A grid electrode, common for both beams, is placed between the deflection systems and the screen, transversally to the tube axis. It generates a post-deflection accelerating field between the grid electrode and screen. The electron gun systems are at an angle to the tube axis so that the beams intersect the tube axis at the screen, when they are not deflected and in the absence of the post-deflection accelerating field.
