The burner for liq. or gaseous fuels has its fuel pipe coaxial with the air ducting. Axially between the ends of these two there is a cup-shaped body, open downstream, comprising an annular plate swirler (8) and cylindrical rim (7) against which the axially movable air sleeve (3) can seat. A second cup-shaped body upstream of the first has a base (13) fitting around the fuel pipe (2) and a cylindrical rim, of dia. intermediate between the swirler dia. This is saw-toothed (12) to form a continuous radial seal against the swirler. The fuel pipe and, within this cup, is threaded for a nozzle (14).
