Ink ribbon feed mechanism - has lever preventing rearwards movement of ratchet wheels of spools

The ink ribbon feed mechanism has two ratchet wheels for the spools, intermittently moved by a pawl. A lever (5) prevents movement of the wheels(4a, 4b) in the rearwards direction and a reversing mechanism is provided for the ribbon. A stop works with the wheel of the unwinding spool in accordance with the lever movement and engages and disengages with and from the latter. Locking pawls(7a, 7b) are provided at the top end of the lever, which pivots on a central shaft(6) and is coupled to a release lever at the lower end. There are further locking pawls(8a, 8b) at the lower lever end.
