The electronically controlled device is for watering hydro-cultivated plants. The required minimum level and the required maximum level of the nutrient soln. or the water in the cultivation vessel is established with the aid of electrical or electronic sensors, which, via an electronic circuit with one or more tip stages, act to switch on and off an electric motor which drives a pump. This pump is used to make up and replenish the nutrient soln. or water in the vessel from a supply tank or water line. Alternatively, an electrically controlled valve can be used instead of the pump and motor.
