The connector has a cubic coupler (2) onto whose faces support bars (3) can be bolted. Fl at end pieces (4) are fixed to the end faces of the claddings (1) and have holes (4a) suitable for the shanks of the support bars and having a width equal to that of the slot (1a) in the cladding. A circular slot (3b) is formed on each support bar near its thread (3a). The circular slot has an outer dia. slightly less than the width of the slot-like hole (4b) in the end piece whilst the region between the circular slot and the support bar head (3c) has a smaller dia. than the hole (4a) dia. but a larger dia. than the end piece hole (4b).
