Aircraft navigational aid dependent on two radio beacons - displays position directly on map which is automatically rotated when flight direction changes

An air craft navigational aid for direct continuous aircraft position measurement in the range of two radio beacons displays the position directly on a map. It is designed to eliminate the inaccuracies and flight crew loading of normal VOR methods involving manual charting. The map table is provided with a rotational motor which automatically aligns the map according to the direction in which the aircraft is flying. This enables the crew to perform manoeuvres as if they were able to see the ground.
