A circuit for feedback error evaluation in revolution rate and position control loops is esp. for smoothing acceleration and braking characteristics. It contains a digital demand generator, a digital comparator, and a d-a converter for rate and acceleration evaluation of the desired value. The desired value is placed in a store and transferred to another store at fixed intervals. The difference between the store contents is obtained at each time interval and compared with the d-a converter output in terms of acceleration. The contents of the second store are used for rate comparison and the converter output is fed to a servo unit.
