The balanced printing installation is for a hand labelling machine which prints and presses on labels and attaches them to an object. The installation includes a counter plate (28) attached to the frame (1) of the machine, an operating lever (10) swivelling between a released position and a pressed on operating position and divided into a hand lever section and a printing lever section (4). There is a return spring (6) and a printing head (9) supporting by the printing lever section and the printing lever section towards a turning movement directed towards each other. Finally, there is a snap-in device (15-21) through which a predetermined resistance can be exerted on to the printing lever section when it is rotated in the direction of the counter plate.
