Two=stage ceramic item press - has separate devices for first and second pressing stages also aiding other operations

The press is for ceramic or similar items, using powder as the material, two press operations being necessary. It has separate devices forthe first phase and the second press operation, these being combined with others to provide conditions for suppression of movement, initial expulsion of air and an intermediate phase. Pistons(5, 5') can be used for the first phase, and combined with the weight of a support(3) for the second, while for the third these pistons and the support weight are combined with other pistons. For the fourth phase, the first pistons(5, 5') and support(3) are used, less the force of the pistons. The final compression phase is effected by a screw(7') with flywheel(7").
