Insecticidal and acaricidal amidino-phosphoric acid derivs. - prepd. by reacting N-methyl-N'-pyridyl-formamidine cpds. with (di)thiophosphoryl halide

New amidino-phosphoric acid derivs. are cpds. of formula (I): (where R1. R2, and R3 are H or CH3; R4 is CH3 or C2H5; R5 is 1-4C alkyl; and X is O or S.) (I) are broad-spectrum biocides active against a wide range of pests injurious to plants and animals, and can be used e.g. as acaricides, insecticides, ectoparasiticides and nematocides. (I) are esp. useful as insecticides and acaricides for use in plant protection. Tests show that (I) have systemic, contact and antifeedant action against various types of insects, e.g. aphids.
