Head lamp dipper system - compensates for body position alterations by integrator operated endless cables on pulleys

The head lamps are connected by a pull rope whose effective length is alterable by load conditions to cause the head lamps to pivot on a horizontal axis. The pivot mechanism has two pulley wheels fitted respectively to each head lamp. A driving pulley wheel with two endless cables transfers the pull from an integrator according to load. Each head lamp pulley wheel is provided with a clamp screw to fix the cable to the wheel and also hold a flange with a coupling rod to the head lamp which is pivoted horizontally to the body work. When the cables are moved, the wheels will move to pull or push the head lamps on the horizontal pivots.
