Dust collector system - for dust emission from leaking coke oven doors and frames, with individual collecting chamber above each door

Deduster for coke ovens or similar plants having a framework work of vertical supports and traverses for the reception of the ovens each of which is closed by doors on the coke discharge and coal charging ends respectively, arranged between two adjacent vertical supports, comprises: (a) a collecting chamber of length and width adapted to the distance between two vertical supports, open at the bottom for the reception of gases released below it from the vicinity of the door, and provided with elements for attaching it to the supports or to the oven wall; (b) a roof-shaped hood on the underside of the collecting chamber, opening in the direction of the door below this chamber in which a shut-off device pref. a butterfly valve is provided; (c) a connecting duct extending between the collecting chamber and a suction duct running parallel to the coke oven battery wall. The arrangement supplements the provisions already made for removing gases and fumes emitted during charging, and prevents atmospheric pollution from failure of the sealing of the doors and the framework of the coke oven.
