A system for laying preglued sheet form materials one on top of another for the purpose of covering a base material with a veneer or foil outer coating- has a support base with a feed device and at least one veneer layer preparation device. The cover layer preparation device (10) is constructed from a height adjustable coating table (12) mounted below the support base plane and has a series of veneer material pieces (11) laid on it. Above the coating table (12) are mounted, in the plane of the support base, a series of device e.g. side type roller lines (14), transport conveyers, etc., with suction operated conveyers or air pads lying above them.
