Float-operated hydraulic drain pump - with float in form of lightweight carrying handle and fixed to lever

Hydraulic drain pump comprises a float which controls stopping and starting of the pump. The float is in the form of a lightweight carrying handle fixed to an articulated lever by means of a shaft on the pump housing. The shaft enters via a seal the housing interior in which is disposed a switch for starting and stopping the pump. Pref. the switch is controlled by means of a cam mounted loosely on the shaft of the pivot lever of the handle, and supported by means of a braking membrane e.g., a resilient washer against the inner wall of the housing. Pref. the handle consists of a metal frame covered with e.g., polyurethane foam.
