摘要

A catalyst based on osmoium is prepd. by (i) reacting osmium tetroxide on a silicated support pref. of magnesium silicate, partic. chrysotile or sepiolite, grafted by unsatd. organic silane pref. methylvinylsilane radicals; (ii) hydrogenating the prod. obtd., e.g. using gaseous H2 at 150-210 (170-190) degrees C, and under pressure of 200-600 torrs H2; (iii) recovering the solid catalyst obtd. The catalyst can be used to catalyse reactions in which molecules contg. nitrogen are involved, and also to adsorb nitrogen and then adsorb it in reactions in which it is necessary to generate gaseous nitrogen from a solid substrate.
