Rubber gearbox seals reinforced with perforated sheet - for stiffness to facilitate manipulation during installation

Rubber seal panels for motor gearboxes, sumps or similar oil containers, include a seal of a thin (metal) sheet finely perforated and covered on both faces with rubber, moulded so as to bond through the perforations. Pref. the surface layers are of polyacrylate or nitrile rubber. Used for flat or contoured seals or gaskets, esp., of annular or other forms incorporating =1 opening or deep ddge recess and mounted by clamping between two rigid bodies. The stiffness of the composite gasket facilitates manipulation during manual automated assembly of motors.
