The storage cell unit, or silo, for agricultural cereal produce, or for other bulk goods, combines large volume capacity with moderate thickness of sheet metal. It comprises a sheath fixed to upright columns on a concrete base, and corrugated metal plates, with screw connection. Steel wire cables (4), with fixing media combining them to form a continuous length, are fitted in the corrugation depressions on the outside of the sheath (5), over at least part of the sheath's height. Where the plates (3) overlap, slits (7) can be provided in one plate, and circular holes in (8) in the other, for the connecting screws, thus permitting some expansion of the cables.
