P process for the production of branched polymers of the sulphide arylene and novel products thus obtained. / p & & p & of the branched polymers of the sulphide arylene, at low flow of molten mass, are produced by using: 1. a p - dihalobenzene, 2. an aromatic compound polyhalogenated having more than two halogen substituents per molecule, 3. an alkali metal sulphide, 4. a n - alkyllactame and 5. controlled quantities of water, in the presence or absence of a sodium carboxylate. / p & & p & the present invention is particularly useful to provide polymers which can be manufactured in the form of shaped products having desirable properties, without any cooking. / p
