The exhibition and demonstration stand has a plurality of frames (1) which are connected to one another by connecting pieces (35) and the profiled members (2 to 4) of which are connected to one another by means of angle pieces (12). In this arrangement, said members (2 to 4) have in each case at least two longitudinal grooves (10 and 17), of which the outer longitudinal groove (17) is provided in order to receive the edge of a demonstration aid (18/19), in the form of a board or sheet, and the inner longitudinal groove (10) is provided for the engagement of the legs (11), on both sides, of the angle pieces (12). Moreover, the upper member (3) is longitudinally divided, it being possible to release and raise that member portion (25) assigned to the demonstration aid (18/19), such that the latter, from this open side, can be pushed into the longitudinal grooves (17) of the other three members (2 and 4) and can then be covered over again by the previously released member portion (25).
