There is a tipping assembly (2) mounted on the vehicle (1) which can be raised and lowered and which has a locking assembly (5) to retain a container (4) on the tipping assembly (2). The container support is a separate assembly on the platform. There are also roller fittings on which the container moves. The container support is moved by a piston between the container support and the tipping system. The piston can be replaced by a hydraulic motor and a system of pulleys and cable or a chain wheel and endless chain. The container support is held by quick lock or release type fittings.
