Mast for sailing vessel - has composite hollow construction of wooden stringers and plywood plates with plywood outer covering

The mast is designed for a sailing vessel and is of composite hollow construction. It comprises several stringers of spruce wood defining the cross section of the mast and stretching its complete length. These have inner frames glued to them and acting as locations for plywood plates extending radially outwards. The outer edges of the plates glue into outer frames, these forming a grille pattern with the stringers, these latter holding longitudinal plywood plates intersecting those for the frames. The complete structure is encased in an outer plywood covering.
