The hand attachments are used to increase the volume when applauding a performance in the open air. Each comprises a half sheel, with a flat peripheral rim, which is worn on the palm of the hand via a retaining strap. The rims of the two shells mate together when the palm or both hands are brought towards one another to form a resonance space. Pref., each of the shells is hemispherical and is attached to the hand via an elastic band, passing through two slots in the shell, with the remaining loop fitted over the fingers.
