Drill bit cutting section dimension measurement - using rule with linear and angular scales and rotatable arm with angle scale

A device for measuring drill bit cutting section parameters is designed to enable rapid and independent evaluation of different point angles, symmetry of the cutting edge, and centralisation of the point. This ensures reduction of bit grinding time and high accuracy whilst facilitating the use of different bit angles for different materials. A right-angled rule (1, 3) with vertical and horizontal scales (2, 4) is used to measure the height and width of the cutting edge (10). A rotatable arm (7) with an angle scale (6) is used to measure the drill angular parameters w.r.t. the two sections of the rule (1, 3).
