摘要
The magnetic motor includes a rotor consisting of permanent magnets, and a stator presenting a pair of opposed poles to the rotor. To achieve the rotation of the motor, the magnetic polarity of the rotor must be changed as it rotates - once every 180 degrees. The extremities of the rotor carry small pivotally mounted magnetic elements (5). These may lie in one of two positions, so that either north or south end lies outermost. As the rotor of the device turns, plates (10) protruding from the stator poles (S) turn the magnetic elements from one position to the other. This effects the necessary change of polarity of the rotor as it turns.
