Data card selection and classification - is by arrangement of disc memories carried on one rotatable shaft and uses zoning technique

The method is designed to select and classify data in groups of order 1. These same groups being classed in groups of order 2 which themselves are classed in groups of order 3 etc. In a memory are formed distinct zones. The zone D1 contains data from group Gn of order n. The zone D2 contains data of group Gn-1 order n-1 etc. The readout is controlled to read at first the compartment of group Gn, then Gn-1, Gn-2 etc. then finally Gn proceeding by successive elimination. Data is inscribed on magnetic discs corresponding to the number of the last card of each group considered.
