The harvesting machine for French beans and some types of fruit and vegetables has a tined harvesting drum (1) at the front which is preceded by a blower unit (2). The air from the blower is discharged towards the drum by a blower nozzle (3) to pass upwards (15) beneath the main front hood, then over the drum. The fan housing is adjustable, and the air channel (4) under the hood forms a discharge chamber (5) in front of a take off conveyor (6) which slopes upwards behind th edrum. The bottom of the nozzle (3) carries an adjustable flap (7) near ground level. The discharge chamber has air outlet holes. Near the top is another adjustable flap (11). In another design, there is an air outlet shaft at the top of this chamber.
