Conveyor installation to move a load placed ready on a base in a horizontal direction on to a loading surface at the same height and forming an extension of the base and vice versa. The ready made load is carried on pallets each of which has three symmetrical distributed load supports along its lower side between which there are channels open below and extending over the length of the pallets. The pallets line up with the channels in the direction of conveyor movement and there are vehicles to carry the load each of which has a platform and fitted with a hose expandable and supported on the vehicle frame of the lift or lower the load.
