The automatic weighing apparatus for pots of honey comprises a cut off valve controlled by the beam of a balance. This acts via a micro-switch and an electromagnet at the moment the supply is to be cut off. A movable shutter carries a sector on which is a notch co-operating with the peg attached to the moving part of an electromagnet. The valve is held open by the peg and notch. When the beam of the balance moves to operate the microswitch, the shutter closes automatically under the effect of a spring.
