Hollow charge with special shell lining - is pointed and has varying thickness to give desired mathematical ratios for high performance

A hollow charge which has a body (1) of light alloy or resin-glass or fibre resin. Inside is a copper lining (2) which has a pointed shape and its thickness diminishes downwards with change in slope. There is a main charge (3) and a priming charge (5), with its screen (4). The pointed shape of the lining is such that the angle of incidence formed by the detonation wave with the lining surface is the least possible, from top to bottom. The thickness of the lining is such that the relation bulk of lining and useful bulk of explosive is minimum, top to bottom.
