Bifidus powder contg. lactulose - used in prevention or treatment of intestinal disorders

Bifidus powder contg. lactulose comprises a dispersing agent and Bifidus organism. The homogenous mixt. contains 1 g 40-70% (by wt.) lyophilised organism contg. =20 x 1010 live organism and 60-30% (by wt.) of lactulose powder contg. =55% (by wt.) lactulose. The lactulose content of the mixt. is 28-57% (by wt.), moisture 2.5%, and the Bifidus content =8 x 1010/g. Bifidus prepns. have been used in prevention or treatment of intestinal disorders such as diarrhoea, intestinal catarrh, constipation, etc. The Bifidus prepn. contg. lactulolose when orally administered accelerates the growth of Bifidus organism in the intestine, and during preservation the live organism is kept in high content.
