Fork lift truck for handling front or side loads - has swinging rear axle stabilised by hydraulic jack, and auxiliary fork at rear for side loads

A fork lift truck (1) has a two bladed fork (11, 12) mounted on a vertical hinge attached to a slide running on a vertical guide column (7). This fork can be rotated through 90 deg. by a hydraulic jack (13) so that loads can be lifted at the front or at the side of the truck (1). For handling long loads an additional single blade (10) is mounted on a guide column (6) at the rear of the truck (1). The truck (1) has a swinging rear axle which is stabilised by a hydraulic jack when the truck is handling heavy side loads.
