False-twisting device - has moving belts to provide false-twist working zones

A false-twisting device has =2 belts in the form of supple, closed loops with pulleys some of which are connected to driving means which drive the belts in opposite directions. Supports for the pulleys ensure axial spacing and the relative positioning of the belts, in order to create two straight, working zones on which the outer surfaces of the belts are opposed, aligned and parallel, so as to define =2 twisting paths on which the yarn (F) is submitted to successive twists in opposite directions. Bulked, elastic mult-filament yarns are produced from fine synthetic, artificial or natural fibres, without altering the structure or strength of the yarns. The yarns are submitted to false-twisting and heating processes which are easy to control, compared with ring-twisting devices, which tend to weaken the yarns, and require skilled operation.
