Lock for plug-in connection to wall outlet of a central hospital gas distribution system has a removable plug (5) acting against a ring held by a retaining spring. a peripheral flange (11) fits into an annulus in the socket and has at least two clips (14) with curved gripping ends able to pass through the socket collar (12) through notches (17). When the plug is rotated it is thus held in the socket by the engagement otf the clips in the circular passage (13) behind the collar so as to grip its rear surface.
