The flanges are side walls of a channel 4. A web 8 extends from the base of the channel to the sill floor and contains holes 9 which allow passage of water from the channel and from the space between flanges 6, 16 to flow to the exterior. Hinged flaps 10, 11 can be deflected to abut steps on the floor. The steps or the edges of the flaps may contain small drainage passages. A T-shaped pipe may be associated with the edge of the flaps for drainage.
