BELT VIBRATOR FOR BELT TYPE MAGNETIC SEPARATOR

PURPOSE:To improve the separation effect and to enable the separation of weak magnetic material, in a separator for separating a magnetic material by applying electromagnetic force onto a material supplied on a conveyor belt, by additionally providing a mechanism for applying vertical vibration onto the belt. CONSTITUTION:Belt type magnetic separator has an excitation coil, upper magnetic pole 4, yoke 5 and an electromagnet above and below a conveyor belt 2, while a belt conveyor 7 is provided on the lower face of upper magnetic pole 4 while crossing perpendicularly with the conveyor 2. The magnetic material attracted by the electromagnetic force of upper magnetic pole 4 is attracted to the lower face of the conveyor 7 then carried and separated. Here two vibrating rollers 8a, 8b are supported above the opposites of lower magnetic pole 6 in the advancing direction of belt while contacting against the lower face of the conveyor, where suitable number of projections 9 are fixed axially on each cylindrical face and made rotatable by motors 10a, 10b.
