1412610 Rubber stabilizers DEUTSCHE GOLD - UND SILBER - SCHEIDEANSTALT 27 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 59609/72 Headings C3P and C3Q [Also in Division C2] Stabilizers for vulcanizates of natural and synthetic rubbers (e.g. polybutadiene) are novel compounds of Formula I in which X and Y, which may be the same or different, each represents -SRSP1/SP, -ORSP2/SP, -CN, or -NRSP3/SPRSP4/SP and additionally X may be chlorine; RSP1/SP is a C 1-12 alkyl or an aryl group; RSP2/SP is a C 1-12 alkyl, C 5-8 cycloalkyl, aryl, allyl or methallyl group; RSP3/SP and RSP4/SP, which may be the same or different, each represents hydrogen, C 1-18 alkyl optionally substituted one or more times by -OH, -ORSP5/SP (RSP5/SP being C 1-18 alkyl) or by -CN, allyl, methallyl, C 5-8 cycloalkyl, aryl or a benzyl group; or one of RSP3/SP and RSP4/SP is - or #- naphthyl or 4-phenylaminophenyl and the orther is hydrogen; or RSP3/SP and RSP4/SP together with the common nitrogen atom form a C 5-8 membered ring which is optionally substituted once or twice by C 1-4 alkyl groups and which, in addition to -CH 2 - groups and the nitrogen atom, optionally contains an oxygen or sulphur atom or the group -NRSP6/SP- (RSP6/SP being hydrogen or C 1-5 alkyl) ; and Z is C 1-8 alkyl, C 5-8 cycloalkyl, phenyl, benzyl or an acyl group of formula (RSP7/SP being C 1-18 alkyl, benzyl or phenyl) or Z is a radical of Formula II wherein X and Y are as defined above.
