The use of dialkyl paraphenylene diamine or 2,4,6-tris-(N-1,4-dimethyl pentyl-P-phenylene diamine) 1,3,5 triazine for a long term static ozone crack resistance in tire black sidewall
Most tire companies experience a wax blooming problem due to the need for high levels of wax in their tire sidewall to protect against static ozone cracking during storage.Current sidewall compounds contain alkyl ary paraphenylene diamines such as 6PPD or IPPD for dynamic ozone protection, but they do not provide adequate static ozone protection. Therefore, the combination of 6PPD or IPPD with blended waxes have been used for many years in sidewall compounds.
