Method of roller drafting jute on jute draw frames comprising drawling fibres from first set of draft rollers to second set of draft rollers characterized in that the fibres are passed through a plurality of intermediate pairs of rollers to control and passage of the fibre during travel from the first set to the second set of drafting rollers, said intermediate roller pairs all moving at the same speed which is substantially the same as that of the first set of drafting rollers, said intermediate roller pairs thereby simply allowing the fibres to slip through without drafting.
