The endless, flexible V-belt is constructed from canvas and rubber or similar materials, and on at least one of the peripheral surfaces are teeth, formed by notches cut into the material of the belt. The notches, when viewed in cross-section, have a radius (R) which is equal to or less than one and a half times the width (B) of the belt, and can be located within the inner peripheral belt surface. They are formed by two adjacent curved cuts into the material.
