The apparatus which measures the pain-sensitivity reaction of the peripheral nervous system, has a generator, an amplifier and an oscillator. It incorporates a pulse sequence generation unit with a generator, a variable-ratio amplifier and a current amplifier. This is connected via a start-stop circuit to the time measuring unit, which comprises the oscillator, a first selector circuit, a counter and a second selector circuit. The counter can be connected to the storage unit and the digital indicating instrument.
