Assembly panels with upright protruding knobs are set on the load-bearing floor structure; on top of the knobs there are floor panels for walking on, while heating pipes run between knobs, of smaller dia. than knob height, leaving a slight gap below the top panels. The underside of the latter is coated with adhesive for fixing on knobs. This adhesive (20) partially encloses the heating pipes (16), and may form wedges on both sides of the pipes, between them and the top panels (18). The adhesive may contain heat-conducting fillers, and have high specific weight and non-thirotropic qualities. This provides effective heat transfer between pipes and panels over a wide area, while avoiding mechanical loading on pipes which might reduce their cross-section.
