Polymer compsn. esp. for prodn. of injection moulded components for use in the immediate vicinity of automobile engiens, contains (I) 75-99.9 esp. 93-98 wt % normally solid polymer that consists essentially of units of formula -A-Ar-A'-Ar'-, (where -a-and -a'- are each -O-or -S-Ar is perchlorodiphenylene and Ar' is a l-24C aromatic gp. in which any bridges linking aromatic rings contain is not1 atom), and has an intrinsic viscosity of =0.3 dl/g (0.5g (0.5g I in benzene, dimethylacetamide or hexamethylphosphoramide at 30-35 degrees C) and (II) 25-0.1 esp. 7-2 wt % organopolysiloxane. Compsn. has good resistance to automobile liqs. e.g. petrol, oil and anti-freeze, to the temps. occurring in the vicinity of a running automobile engine, and to fire, and good physical properties.
