Washing textiles in 2 steps - using cation-active and non-ionic tensides in first and anion-active and non-ionic tensides in second

Textiles are washed by a 2-step process, in which, in 1st step, they are treated with a bath contg. non-ionic tensides in addn. to cation-active tensides, and, in 2nd step, they are treated with a bath contg. anion-active and/or non-ionic tensides and standard builders. Washing cotton, wool and synthetic fibre textiles by hand or machine, using detergent compsns., for 1st and 2nd steps, as powders, pastes or liquids. Addn. of non-ionic tensides improves activity in pre-wash; non-ionic and cation-active tensides act synergetically; no builders are required in 1st step, thus reducing waste water pollution problems through phosphates.
