GAS WITHDRAWAL FROM ANIN SITU OIL SHALE RETORTABSTRACTLiquid and gaseous products are recovered from oilshale in an in situ oil shale retort containing a frag-mented permeable mass of particles containing oil shaleby retorting oil shale in the fragmented mass to producegaseous and liquid products. The liquid products arewithdrawn from the retort to a first level in unfragmentedformation below the elevation of the bottom boundaryof the retort. Gaseous products are withdrawn fromthe retort to a second level below the elevation ofthe first level.
