Process for the preparation of the antibiotic No. 3008B

The desired substance is obtained by culture of a microorganism of the genus Streptomyces, which is able to produce the antibiotic 3008B, and isolation from the culture broth of the antibiotic produced. Various physicochemical data of the substance and its methyl ester are given for its identification. The antibiotic is effective, inter alia, against antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains.
