Epoxide polycondensn./polyaddn. products - based on epoxide/polycarboxylic acid reaction prods. and amine/polyepoxide adducts. Title products are prepd. by reacting reaction product of epoxide cpd., with one or more epoxide grps. in mol. and mol. wt. 1000, and polycarboxylic acid with amine adduct of polyepoxide. Products obtd. in first stage are still sol. or fusible and can be converted to insol. form by thermal after-treatment. They are esp. useful, in cresol soln., as wire lacquers, but can also be used as coating, sealing and casting compsn., opt. contg. solvent, casting and laminating resin.
