Tunnel wall erection procedure - has wall divided by continuous seams filled with consolidating substance permitting movement for balanced condition

The wall construction erection procedure is specially for tunnel walls, which in the load condition are exposed to forces which influence shape and position changes through the wall construction. The space i.e. the seam between the back wall of the construction and the soil is filled in with a consolidating substance. - The wall construction is split up by corresponding continuous seams and these are filled with the consolidating substance in suitable amounts. These can be a relative movement of the components until the wall construction is in a roughly balanced condition. The seams are then closed off at their open ends by the natural consolidation of the consolidating layer.
